They can no longer compete and survive with “Human ATMs” behind their counters. The challenge is that most bankers are not accustomed to operating in the “sales mode”: they view themselves as financial experts rather than sales people! But in order to compete, both banks and their people need to change from an “order taking” mindset to an “order making” one!
